Georgia State University

If your area of study is aligned with education and human development, then Georgia State University is a great option for you!

As of Feb. 24, 2021, GRE requirements for 22 master’s degree programs under the College of Education and & Human Development have been waived. To get admitted into any of these programs, the university evaluates applicants based on other qualifications such as undergraduate GPA and writing samples.

University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming is best known for its master’s degree programs, specifically for Chemical Engineering.

If you’re an aspiring chemical engineer, then consider taking your MS in this university. It only requires a 290 GRE test score for graduate admission.

Colorado Technical University

Are you taking an MS degree in Accounting, Management or Information Technology? Colorado Technical University offers these programs to graduate students. The best part is, it doesn’t require GRE tests scores or any standardized tests for admission.

However, if you are a non-US student and/or non-native speaker of English, you are required to take and pass an English language proficiency test such as IELTS or TOEFL.

Florida International University

As one of the leading Research Institutes in the US, Florida International University is known for its top-notch research center for science and engineering.

The GRE score requirements for an MS in Materials Science and Engineering program is only 290.

Loyola University Chicago

Loyola University Chicago only requires a combined score of 310 on the GRE. Aside from these scores, the university also looks at other qualifications and criteria for graduate admissions.

Even better if you’re pursuing a business-related program because Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business can waive GRE score requirements for applicants who meet certain qualifications such as professional work experience. 

Rochester Institute of Technology

If you’re applying for a master’s degree related to Film and you want to be evaluated based on the quality of your portfolio instead of your GRE score, then Rochester Institute of Technology is the graduate school for you.

Most master’s degree programs in this university don’t require the GRE at all. Plus, GRE test scores are even optional for their Master of Science in Applied Statistics program.

Getting into graduate school is difficult, but don’t be discouraged when you get a below-average GRE score.
